Young Birders Saturday Outing at Eagle Creek Park
Young Birders Saturday outing at Eagle Creek Park—spot local birds.
Kids who love birds (and their parents!) are invited to join Indiana Audubon for a relaxed morning of guided birding at Eagle Creek Park. Led by Sam Urquidez, the Indiana Audubon Bird Programs and Partnerships Manager, this outing lasts about an hour and welcomes young birders of all experience levels. Bring binoculars if you have them—but curiosity alone is enough. The group will explore park trails at a comfortable pace with plenty of stops to observe and discuss what you see.
This is a drop-in activity that's free with park admission; pre-registration is optional but helpful. The outing runs the first Saturday of each month from April through October, giving families a regular birding tradition to enjoy together. Restrooms are available at the Ornithology Center before and after the program. Trail surfaces vary by season and may be uneven, so families should be prepared for different conditions. For questions or if you need accommodations, contact Indiana Audubon at info@indianaaudubon.org or 765-205-1255.
