VOCAB (Spoken Word/Poetry)

VOCAB is a monthly showcase celebrating poetry and spoken word performances in an intimate evening setting. Hosted by Corey Ewing and Januarie York, the event features a rotating lineup of guest performers—this month's headliner is to be announced—plus DJ Stylistic keeping the energy alive throughout the night. The highlight of every VOCAB gathering is an open mic segment, giving audience members a chance to share their own work or simply enjoy the creative community around them. Doors open at 8 p.m., with the show starting at 9 p.m. Admission begins at $12.51. This is a great fit for teens and adults who love the spoken word scene, appreciate live performance art, or want to experience Indianapolis's creative culture in a welcoming venue. Whether you're a longtime poetry fan or curious about the genre, VOCAB offers an evening of authentic artistic expression in Fountain Square.
