Join Indiana Audubon for an evening of urban birding as thousands of Chimney Swifts create a natural light show, spiraling into their nighttime roost at sunset. You'll gather on the Rooftop Garden at Fountain Square to watch this impressive aerial display—sometimes hundreds, sometimes thousands of birds moving in mesmerizing patterns. Led by experienced local birder Wes Homoya, this is a relaxed, informal event designed for people of all birding experience levels. You might even spot a Peregrine Falcon hunting in the mix. The group will also discuss urban bird behavior and swift conservation throughout the evening.
Spots fill quickly, with registration limited to 20 people. Tickets are $5 for Indiana Audubon members and $10 for others, plus processing fees. Note that participants must be at least 21 years old due to venue policies. The rooftop is accessible by elevator, and seating is provided. Street parking and curbside drop-off are available nearby.
