Summer of Stewardship

This event involves families working together to care for local green spaces. You'll join other volunteers for a Weed Wrangling session focused on removing invasive plants that don't belong in our parks. Tasks are straightforward—pulling teasel or cutting sweet clover—and suitable for a range of ages and abilities. Children under 16 must have a parent or guardian present to participate. If you're looking for a way to teach your kids about environmental stewardship while staying active outdoors, this is a meaningful option. You'll see direct results from your effort and contribute to keeping Founders Park healthy for everyone. Pre-registration is required before you can attend, so plan ahead to secure your spot.
