Storytime at Pike

Interactive storytime with songs, fingerplays, and playtime for babies and toddlers.

Storytime is a classic library program where children gather to hear stories read aloud by a librarian or volunteer. Kids sit together—sometimes on a carpet or in chairs—while an adult shares picture books, chapter books, or folktales, often with voices, sound effects, and enthusiasm that bring the stories to life. It's a relaxed, interactive way for young children to discover new books, build listening skills, and enjoy the social fun of story time with other families. Most sessions last 20–30 minutes and are free or very low-cost.
