SPIT IN YAZOO CITY
Westfield High School presents a fall play set in 1945 Mississippi.
Westfield Theatre presents a fall production set in 1945 Mississippi, following an Army recruiting officer named William Blane and a young boy called Spit. When Spit arrives at the office searching for his brother, who he claims has gone to war, Blane gradually discovers the truth—Spit is actually an only child who invented this story to escape his home life. What unfolds is an unexpected friendship, where the two form a meaningful bond and teach each other valuable lessons.
This is a great choice for families who enjoy live theater with heart. Free general seating tickets are required to attend, making it accessible for most budgets. The Westfield Theatre company invites those who can to consider donating to support Thespian Troupe #1002 as they prepare for December competitions. Two performance times are available, giving families flexibility in choosing what works best for their schedule.
