Songbook Academy Public Masterclass

This public masterclass brings together young singers and celebrated music industry professionals for an inspiring performance experience. Ten randomly selected singers from the Songbook Academy will take the stage at the Payne & Mencias Palladium, where they'll receive live guidance and feedback from Michael Feinstein, founder of the Great American Songbook Foundation and five-time GRAMMY nominee, alongside Lea Salonga, a Tony Award-winning actress and Disney legend known for her iconic roles in "Miss Saigon," "Aladdin," and "Mulan." This is a wonderful opportunity for young music lovers to witness professional feedback in action and see talented peers perform. The event is completely free to attend, making it an accessible way to celebrate the artistry of classic American songwriting. It's part of Carmel's "Songbook City" celebration, which honors the local Great American Songbook Foundation and its mission to preserve popular music history.
