Rain on Main

Rain on Main celebrates water conservation while showcasing the creative talents of local artists. Throughout mid-to-late August, the Arts & Design District on Main Street becomes an open-air gallery featuring 65-gallon rain barrels that have been transformed into unique, functional artwork. It's a wonderful opportunity to take a leisurely walk through the neighborhood, admire the pieces, and vote for your favorite through a People's Choice contest on Facebook. If your family falls in love with any of the barrel designs, you'll have a chance to bid on them at the Carmel Farmers Market in late August. All proceeds from the auction support water quality education programs throughout Carmel, so your purchase directly benefits the community. This event offers a creative, accessible way to engage with environmental awareness while supporting both local artists and important conservation efforts.
