Night Hike at McCloud

Experience McCloud Nature Park after dark on this guided evening adventure. A naturalist will lead your family along easy-to-moderate trails while you search for nocturnal wildlife like bats, owls, and fireflies. The program lasts about an hour and a half, so wear comfortable shoes and dress for the evening temperature. The park's trails include paved, gravel, and grassy surfaces, so you'll have options depending on your comfort level. Small flashlights are available, though we keep lighting minimal to protect wildlife and give you the best viewing experience. This outing welcomes all ages—children under 5 are free and don't require separate registration as long as they attend with a guardian. Advance registration is required for everyone else at $5 per person. If rain or severe weather threatens, the program will be canceled. Meet at the nature center by 9 PM.
