Nature Journaling at Gibbs
Nature Journaling at W.S. Gibbs Memorial Park—sketch wildlife and explore outdoors.
Bring your child outdoors for an afternoon of guided nature observation at W.S. Gibbs Memorial Park. Led by a naturalist, this program invites families to slow down, use their senses, and discover what nature has to offer. Kids will learn practical ways to notice and record their observations—whether through sketches, notes, or their own creative style. Small journals are provided, though children are welcome to bring their own.
This relaxed 90-minute session works well for kids ages 7 and up, though younger children as old as 5 may participate. The cost is just $3 per person, with registration open through late July. All are welcome to join this low-key exploration of the park's natural spaces.
