Jazz at the Center

The Indianapolis Jazz Foundation presents a summer series of outdoor jazz performances celebrating the city's vibrant music scene and artists from around the world. Each evening features a different theme and lineup of talented musicians performing on the terrace at the Indy Art Center. You'll experience everything from global fusion sounds and Latin rhythms to tributes honoring jazz legends and innovative reimaginings of classic standards. This is a relaxed, community-focused event where families can bring their own lawn chairs or blankets and settle in for live music under the stars. Doors open at 6:00 PM, giving you time to grab food and drinks from The Jazz Kitchen before the show begins at 7:00 PM. The event welcomes all ages, and parking is available in the lot on the east side of the building, along 67th Street, and in overflow areas on Ferguson and Cornell avenues. You can also take IndyGo Bus Route 19 or the Red Line (Route 90). Tickets are available for purchase, and all proceeds support the Indianapolis Jazz Foundation's work in preserving and promoting jazz education and history.
