Humane Society of West Michigan's 143rd Birthday Party
Celebrate the Humane Society's 143rd Birthday Party with furry friends and activities.
Join the Humane Society of West Michigan for a festive celebration marking 143 years of animal rescue and care in our community. This carnival-style party welcomes families and furry friends alike, with something for everyone to enjoy. Kids can bounce in inflatables, tackle an obstacle course, play carnival games, and get their faces painted. There's also a puppy playtime area where children can interact with dogs, plus a Pup Cup station for treats.
Beyond the fun activities, this is a meaningful opportunity to support local animals—the shelter is offering free adoptions for all animals six months and older, thanks to sponsorship by Purina. Food trucks will be on-site to keep everyone fed, and raffles add to the excitement. If your family is considering adoption, arrive early, as adoption processing closes at 2:30 PM and operates on a first-come, first-served basis. This event combines entertainment, community celebration, and the chance to give a pet a forever home.
