Hendricks County SWCD Watershed Walk

Hendricks County SWCD Watershed Walk

Watershed education walk at McCloud Nature Park.

Join the Hendricks County Soil & Water Conservation District for a guided hike through McCloud Nature Park! Led by Sydney Mrazik, this two-hour walk explores the banks of Big Walnut Creek while discussing practical ways families can help protect local watersheds. It's a great opportunity to learn about your community's water systems while enjoying nature together. This program welcomes all ages and costs nothing to attend—no advance registration needed. Just plan to dress for hiking and bring water shoes, as you'll be walking near the creek. Meet everyone at the Ray & Mary Benson Nature Center within the park. Whether your kids are curious about nature or you're looking to deepen your understanding of local environmental stewardship, this is an accessible way to spend time outdoors as a family.
