Harmonic History

Step back in time with your family as Conner Prairie fills the grounds with historical music and performances. Throughout the day, you'll experience shape note singing, traditional drum concerts, informal vocal instruction, and demonstrations of wool processing—all celebrating how communities used music and sound in the past. There's plenty to explore across different locations on the property, making it easy to move between activities that catch your interest. The schedule includes a morning shape note concert, drum performances at the Turner House, afternoon singing lessons with the DuBois siblings, a concert at the Grove, and wool waulking demonstrations. General admission tickets get you access to the full day's programming. This is a great outing if your family enjoys live performances, wants to learn about pioneer-era traditions, or is simply curious about how people made music and celebrated together long ago.
