Hands-On History - How to Collect Oral Histories
Learn to record and preserve your family's stories through audio and conversation.
Hands-On History is an educational workshop where families learn the craft of collecting and preserving oral histories—personal stories and memories from community members. Participants discover how to ask meaningful questions, record interviews, and document local history in their own words. It's a wonderful introduction to how everyday people contribute to our understanding of the past, and a chance to develop listening and interviewing skills while connecting with your community's unique stories.
