Handmade Holiday: Clay Ornaments

Your family can create personalized Christmas decorations during this two-hour workshop at Kiln Creations. Each participant receives enough clay to make four ornaments, with complete creative freedom over the final designs. The studio provides textured rollers, stamps, cutters, and embellishments to decorate flat pieces, plus instruction on hand-building three-dimensional figures like gnomes, trees, and angels. If inspiration strikes, bring reference photos—the instructors welcome specific ideas. Children under 13 will need an adult helper present throughout the session. The ornament-making is just the first step. After the workshop, your creations are dried and fired in the kiln. You'll return within a week during regular studio hours to paint them and watch as they receive their final firing, ready to hang on the tree. All painting and kiln work are included in your ticket price of $38 per person. Want to make more than four? Additional ornaments can be added for $9 each if completed during class. If any piece is damaged during the firing process, the studio will help you create a replacement.
