Guided Nature Walks: Watercolor Wander
Paint miniature watercolors during a guided nature walk at Conner Prairie.
Join a guided walk through Conner Prairie where nature and creativity go hand in hand. You'll explore the grounds with a naturalist guide while pausing to capture your observations on small watercolor canvases. All painting supplies are included, so you don't need to bring any art materials—just bring yourself and an open mind. This program welcomes everyone, from young children to adults, whether you're an experienced artist or simply curious about blending time outdoors with creative expression.
The walk covers varied terrain, including crushed-gravel pathways, wooden steps, and grassy areas. You'll start near the tram turnaround behind the Museum Experience Center and take an out-and-back route that includes a descent near the Conner House, with benches available to rest along the way. Since this walk happens rain or shine, dress for the weather and bring sunscreen, hats, or water as you need. Restrooms with accessible stalls are in the Museum Experience Center. If you have access needs or would like to discuss trail options, contact the Nature Engagement Specialist at morton@connerprairie.org. This program is free with general admission to Conner Prairie.
