Guided Nature Walks: Watercolor Wander

Nature walk combining watercolor art at Conner Prairie.

Join a guided nature walk that brings together outdoor exploration and creative expression. You'll stroll through the grounds with a naturalist guide, observing the landscape while sharing your impressions with the group. Everyone participates in a hands-on activity: painting small watercolor scenes inspired by what you've noticed during the walk. All art supplies are provided, so no experience necessary. This program welcomes people of all ages who enjoy nature and creativity. The walk covers varied terrain including crushed-gravel paths, wooden steps, and grassy areas, with benches available for resting. The group meets near the tram turnaround behind the Museum Experience Center. Rain or shine, the program goes forward—bring sunscreen, hats, water, or other comfort items you might need. Accessible restrooms are located in the Museum Experience Center, and a paved trail alternative may be available. If you have specific accessibility questions, contact the Nature Engagement Specialist at morton@connerprairie.org. This activity is included free with general admission to Conner Prairie.
