Guided Nature Walks: Texture Hunting

Join a guided exploration where kids and grown-ups alike can discover nature through touch and creative activities. You'll walk through Conner Prairie's historic Prairietown area on a wide, gravel path, stopping at different locations like the Lenape Indian Camp and Animal Encounters. Along the way, use your hands and imagination to experience the textures around you and engage in art-making inspired by what you find. Benches are positioned throughout the walk, so there's plenty of opportunity to rest and take in the surroundings. This program runs rain or shine, so come prepared with sunscreen, hats, water, or whatever keeps your family comfortable. The walk begins near the tram turnaround behind the Museum Experience Center, where your guide will meet you. Accessible restrooms are available in the Museum Experience Center. The best part? This guided walk is included free with your general admission to Conner Prairie.
