Guided Nature Walks: Prairietown Garden Walk

Guided nature walk through the historic Prairietown Garden at Conner Prairie.

Your family can explore the historic Prairietown garden with a knowledgeable guide who brings the space to life. Mr. Armstrong, a resident interpreter and passionate gardener, leads this leisurely walk while sharing insights about the plants and landscape. The experience welcomes visitors of all ages who enjoy nature and chatting with costumed characters. You'll stroll along a wide, crushed gravel path, with several benches positioned throughout for rest breaks near key spots like the Lenape Indian Camp and Conner House. This program runs rain or shine, so pack accordingly with sunscreen, hats, or water as needed. The walk starts near the tram turnaround behind the Museum Experience Center, where restrooms (including accessible facilities) are also located. Best of all, admission is free with your general admission ticket to Conner Prairie. If you have specific accessibility questions or needs, the Nature Engagement Specialist at morton@connerprairie.org is happy to help you plan your visit.
