Fun in the Forge

Your family can spend a full day learning the craft of blacksmithing at Conner Prairie's Modern Blacksmith Shop. Working alongside experienced instructors, participants will use a traditional coal forge and anvil to create their own metal projects. You'll walk away with finished pieces like wall hooks, BBQ skewers, flint and steel sets, or a dinner bell—all made by your own hands using tools and materials provided by the workshop. This hands-on experience welcomes teens and adults ages 13 and up (younger teens need an adult companion). It's ideal if your family enjoys historical activities and learning new skills together. Tickets are $100 for Conner Prairie members and $110 for nonmembers. If you're interested in attending, you can purchase tickets through the Conner Prairie website.
