Four Week Wheel Lessons: Thursdays
Four-week pottery wheel class for beginners at Kiln Creations—throw your own travel mug.
**Four Week Wheel Lessons: Thursdays**
Join instructor Stephanie for a hands-on introduction to pottery wheel throwing. This beginner-intermediate class meets weekly in August and guides you through the fundamentals of working with clay while building toward a specific goal—creating your own travel mug with a lid. Each session runs an hour and a half, giving you plenty of time to develop your skills and get comfortable at the wheel. All materials are provided, including clay, wheel access, and a basic tool kit. Just bring a small bucket (about a gallon) and wear clothes you don't mind getting messy and that allow you to move freely.
Registration covers everything you need to get started, though glaze firing is available at $.06 per cubic inch (bisque firing is included). Once you complete the four-week session, you'll also gain access to Open Wheel Times on Thursday evenings throughout October, where you can continue practicing. Keep in mind that tickets are non-refundable and non-transferrable. If you're looking for a more advanced experience, ask about the "Cult of Kristen" classes. This is a wonderful way to explore one of the world's oldest crafts and create something beautiful.
