Fashion Workshop with Artist in Residence Carrie McCleary
Learn textile art and design from Little Shell Chippewa artist Carrie McCleary in this hands-on workshop.
Join textile artist Carrie McCleary, an artist in residence from the Little Shell Chippewa community, for a hands-on fashion workshop. During this session, you'll explore important concepts like appropriation and inspiration in both fashion and art. The workshop includes a gallery visit where participants can view the Expressions of Life: Native Art in North America exhibition, drawing inspiration from what you see before returning to create your own work.
This is a great opportunity for families interested in art, fashion, and Native American culture. Participants will get to sketch and engage in upcycling projects in the studio, making it an interactive experience that goes beyond just looking at art. The workshop takes place at the Eiteljorg Museum, located in White River State Park.
