Cyanotype Workshop with the Crown Hill’s Artists-in-Residence

Cyanotype Workshop with the Crown Hill’s Artists-in-Residence

Create your own cyanotype prints while learning this historic photography technique.

Cyanotype is a classic photographic printing technique that creates beautiful blue-toned images using sunlight and simple chemistry—a perfect introduction to how art and science intersect. In this hands-on workshop, participants will learn the basics of this 200-year-old process and create their own cyanotype prints to take home. Working alongside Indianapolis's Crown Hill Artists-in-Residence, families will discover how ordinary objects can become stunning artwork through light, water, and a bit of creative experimentation. It's an engaging, mess-friendly way to explore both photography and chemistry.
