Curious By Nature: Watercolor Wanders
Blend art and nature on a riverside walk, sketching what you discover.
Kids ages 7 and up are invited to take a guided nature walk along the river and Vista Trail while exploring their creative side. During this program, children will use their senses to notice details in the natural world around them, then capture their observations on small watercolor canvases. All art supplies are included, so there's nothing extra to bring or prepare. The experience combines outdoor exploration with hands-on art-making in a structured environment designed specifically for older elementary students and beyond.
Two session times are available: 10 a.m. to noon or 1 to 3 p.m. Tickets are $10 per child, with one accompanying adult free and additional adults $8 each. This is part of Conner Prairie's Curious by Nature homeschool program, held on Monday mornings when the site is closed to the public. The program takes advantage of over 1,000 acres of natural and historical spaces. Please note that most classes involve substantial walking and physical activity. If your child has accessibility needs, contact Guest Relations at 317-776-6000 to discuss accommodations. Dress your child for outdoor exploration and current weather conditions.
