Cookie Cutters and Cookies
Hands-on history class: craft cookie cutters and bake at Conner Prairie.
Your family can explore history while making something delicious at this hands-on workshop at Conner Prairie. The experience starts in the Modern Trades Shop, where participants learn tinsmithing techniques and create a personalized cookie cutter. You'll then move to the Golden Eagle Inn's kitchen to use your new tool, shaping and baking cookies the historic way—right at the hearth. Along the journey, you'll discover how people baked in earlier times and walk away with your handmade cutter, a batch of cookies to enjoy, and authentic recipes to recreate at home.
This workshop works well for kids and teens who enjoy history, cooking, or hands-on activities. It's designed for ages 14 and up. Tickets are $25 for Conner Prairie members and $30 for non-members. Both the Modern Trades Shop and Golden Eagle Inn in Prairietown serve as your venues for the day. This combines creative crafting with a tasty reward, making it a memorable outing for curious, creative families.
