Campfire Cooking

Join the park's naturalists for an evening of outdoor cooking and family fun at McCloud Nature Park. This program welcomes everyone of all ages to gather around a campfire and learn hands-on cooking techniques. Each session features a different campfire snack, with activities ranging from roasting to Dutch oven cooking. You'll have approximately 90 minutes to participate, and the group will meet at the Ray & Mary Benson Nature Center. Weather permitting, this is a wonderful way to try something new in a natural setting. Registration is required in advance, as spots fill up quickly. The cost is just $3 per person. Please note that if rain or severe weather occurs, the program will be canceled. If you're interested in extending your evening, the Indiana Astronomical Society hosts an astronomy program afterward, so you're welcome to stay for that as well.
